Demand Laws to Stop Unlicensed Recovery Homes in Miami
We are a community seeking truth, justice, and accountability for Ahmonique Miller. This site stands as a call for action, awareness, and lasting change to protect women from unlicensed and unsafe recovery homes.
NBC6 Miami News Story
We are the family and supporters of Ahmonique Miller—led by her mother, Wakeelah Miller—and we are fighting for justice.
Ahmonique was a beautiful, vibrant soul. A loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. After undergoing a successful surgery, she was placed in the care of a recovery home. Tragically, she passed away in her sleep after being given unprescribed medication that was later found to contain illegal and synthetic drugs. The recovery home was operating illegally and without a license.
This should never have happened.
JusticeForAhmonique.org was created to raise awareness about the dangers of unregulated recovery homes, demand accountability for Ahmonique’s death, and protect other women from suffering the same fate. Our mission is to ensure these homes are held to higher standards, licensed properly, and closely monitored—because every woman deserves to heal in safety, not at risk.
We won’t stop until the truth is known, justice is served, and laws are changed to prevent this from ever happening again.s.
